Job summary

Rite of Passage is hiring a Housekeeper at Childhelp, Alice C. Tyler Village in Lignum, Virginia. You will maintain the cleanliness of assigned cottages and buildings, ensuring safe, orderly spaces for residents and staff in a psychiatric residential treatment setting.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Must pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of assigned cottage or building.
• Clean assigned common areas, kitchens, bathrooms and cottage bedrooms.
• Dispose of trash in the designated locations.
• Replenish and manage cleaning supplies within the building.

Childhelp is a psychiatric residential treatment facility that specializes in the treatment of children aged 5-14 with mild to severe trauma or neglect, psychiatric disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Our unique location on a 270-acre farm provides a nurturing treatment setting with a variety of therapy resources. We bring the light of love and healing into the lives of countless abused and neglected children, and those suffering from psychiatric and behavioral disorders. What you will do:

• As a housekeeper here at Childhelp you would be in charge of maintaining the cleanliness of your assigned cottage or building.
• Your duties would include the cleaning of your assigned common areas, kitchens, bathrooms and cottage bedrooms.
• You would also be responsible for trash disposal in the appropriate locations.
• You will maintain and replenish the inventory of cleaning supplies within your designated building.

To be considered you should:

• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, preferred but not required
• Must possess a current Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record for the last 3 years
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test

Schedule: Full Time - Monday - Friday 6AM to 2PM.
