Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Housekeeper to support our Grant Environmental Services Team. This part-time role (24 hours) on the second shift involves cleaning patient and non-patient areas, with emphasis on safety and respect for all patients and staff.

The position requires the ability to read and write, and physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs. Training is provided and opportunities for growth exist within the hospital.

• No previous healthcare cleaning experience required.
• Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily cleaning in patient and non-patient areas to keep a clean, safe environment.
• Completes detailed cleaning such as high dusting and blinds on a weekly basis or after discharge/transfer.
• Cleans, sanitizes and deodorizes restrooms to meet quality expectations.
• Removes trash to central location to facilitate removal from the building.
• Attend in-service programs and Net Learning modules as required by the hospital.
• Follow safety steps and use proper lifting techniques to protect staff and patients.
