Responsabilidades

• Provides quality customer service to customers by providing one-on-one attention to detail.
• Perform general cleaning functions in a hospital environment.
• Cleaning of patient rooms.
• Changing linen on patient beds.
• Cleaning of vacant rooms and make-ready for occupancy.
• Trash collection and removal.
• Restocking hospital bathrooms and housekeeping supplies.
• Meets staff development/training requirements for position.
• Sweeps, scrubs, mops and polishes floors.
• Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.
• Shampoos carpets, rugs and upholstery as needed.
• Dust and polishes furniture and fittings.
• Cleans metal fixtures and fittings.
• Empties and cleans trash containers.
• Disposes of trash in a sanitary manner.
• Cleans wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers.
• Wipes down glass surfaces.
• Responds to customer queries and requests.
• Responds to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glass.
• Contributes to team efforts; exhibits professionalism with customers and staff
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, patients and visitors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• May be requested to be member of QI team.
• Fulfills laundry duties

Physical Demands & Working Environment

Usual working space is a well-ventilated area. Requires standing, walking, turning, bending, stooping, and lifting. Clear speech to communicate effectively with customers (e.g. patients, families, and other team members). Fine and gross motor skills. Environment may be stressful at times, therefore ability to work under stressful conditions is necessary. Also subject to bloodborne pathogens at all times in patient care. May have occasional exposure to radiation during radiology procedures and to dangerous chemicals (cleaning and disinfecting agents).
