Job summary

A health care provider in Jackson, Tennessee is seeking a Housekeeping position responsible for maintaining cleanliness in patient and non-patient care areas. Responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting areas, adhering to infection control guidelines, and maintaining equipment and storage rooms. While no prior experience is required, knowledge equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school is necessary. A preferred candidate would have at least one year of housekeeping experience, and training will be provided upon hire.

Overview

Maintains patient and non-patient care areas, within the hospital, and keeps them in a safe and attractive condition. Actively participates in department quality/performance improvement activities and demonstrates appropriate policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Maintains equipment, storage rooms and environmental closets in orderly fashion.

• Adheres to hospital and departmental policy and procedures.
• Completes assigned goals.

Experience

• Appropriate housekeeping experience.

Minimum Required

• None.
• Knowledge, skills and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred/Desired

• 1 year of housekeeping experience preferred.
