Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation is seeking a dedicated Hospital Housekeeper to maintain patient and non-patient care areas within the hospital in a safe and attractive condition.

The role involves following the 7-step cleaning process, adhering to infection control guidelines, and supporting department quality improvement activities. Training is provided upon hire, with a preference for candidates with 1 year of housekeeping experience.

Qualifications

• Appropriate housekeeping experience.
• Knowledge, skills and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect areas using the hospital's 7-step cleaning process.
• Follow infection control guidelines and universal precautions while completing work assignments.
• Maintain equipment, storage rooms and environmental closets in orderly fashion.
• Perform all floor maintenance tasks per departmental policy and procedures.
• Adhere to hospital and departmental policies and complete assigned goals.
