Job summary

Cardinal Bay in Huntsville, TX, is hiring a Full-time Housekeeper for Carriage Inn Huntsville. You will maintain clean, safe, and sanitary spaces, supporting daily operations with attention to detail and courtesy toward residents and staff.

Shift is 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday with holiday rotations. We offer a supportive team environment and benefits in a mission-driven, equal-opportunity setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-2 years of related cleaning experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate janitorial equipment safely.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Daily janitorial duties: clean and replenish restrooms, empty trash and recyclables, dust and wipe surfaces, vacuum offices and common areas, clean interior glass and windows, mop floors.
• Maintain a clean, orderly janitorial supply area.
• Keep common areas, restrooms, hallways and rooms per cleanliness standards.
• Follow safety standards and report safety incidents.
• Assist with make-ready of vacant apartments as assigned.
• Control keys, equipment, supplies, inventory and other property.

Shift:

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for daily janitorial duties such as but not limited to: clean and replenish restrooms, empty trash, empty recycle bins, clean desks where applicable, clean tables in rooms and eating areas, vacuum offices, common areas, clean interior glass, dust partitions, cabinets and vents, mop floors.
• Maintain a clean and orderly janitorial supply area.
• Maintain common area restrooms, gathering spaces, hallways, and specialty rooms per company cleanliness standards.
• Perform all duties in accordance with safety standards of the company and all applicable OSHA and health and building codes.
• Promptly report to the supervisor all safety and security incidents.
• Assist with the make-ready of vacant apartments as assigned.
• Ensuring the proper controls of keys, equipment, supplies, inventory, and other property.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 1-2 years of related experience in residential/hotel cleaning preferred
• Great customer service attitude
• Ability to interact well with staff, residents, and guests
• Knowledge of, and skills in general janitorial and cleaning responsibilities.
• Ability to use janitorial equipment including floor scrubbing equipment and vacuum cleaners.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Able to work independently or work with others in the completion of assigned tasks.
• Must be willing to undergo a routine background check
