Job summary

Commonwealth Hotels is seeking a Full-Time Hotel Room Attendant, Guest Room Attendant or Housekeeper to join our housekeeping team in Houston, TX. The role emphasizes thorough room cleaning, replenishing amenities, and maintaining high standards of guest comfort.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a demonstrated focus on guest satisfaction. Prior food service experience is a plus, with opportunities for growth within the Marriott brand network.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean guest rooms, including beds, linens, dusting, vacuuming and sanitizing bathrooms.
• Replenish amenities such as toiletries, towels, coffee and other items as needed.
• Ensure room equipment and furniture are in good condition and report maintenance issues.
• Assist in cleaning and maintaining public areas such as hallways and lounges.
• Follow proper cleaning procedures and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
• Provide courteous and professional service, addressing guest requests promptly and effectively.
• Handle laundry services including collecting, washing, folding, and delivering linens and towels.
• Monitor and report inventory levels of cleaning supplies and amenities, ensuring timely restocking.
• Prepare rooms for new guests to meet hotel standards of cleanliness and comfort.
