Job summary

Regency Hermiston is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain residents’ rooms and common areas in a senior living community. You will follow cleaning schedules, coordinate daily housekeeping with nursing services, and adhere to sanitary and safety regulations.

You will support residents with dignity and communication, carrying supplies and maintaining a clean, home‑like environment. The role emphasizes compassion and teamwork within a supportive community.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain residents’ rooms and common areas following cleaning schedules and safety rules.
• Disinfect equipment and surfaces with germicides or steam sterilizers.
• Carry linens, towels, cleaning supplies; operate wheeled carts to storage areas.
• Clean rooms, hallways, restrooms, lounges, and other facilities to meet health standards.
• Relate and communicate with residents, families, volunteers and staff.

As a Housekeeper, you maintain residents’ rooms and common areas of the community. You follow cleaning schedules, coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services, and adhere to sanitary/safety rules and regulations.

You Will:

• Support dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home‑like environment for residents.
• Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies using wheeled carts to supply storage areas, keeping each tidy.
• Disinfect equipment and surfaces using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and empty wastebaskets to meet health standards
• Dust and polish furniture and equipment
• Relate and communicate with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other employees.
