Job summary

Residence Inn Helena is seeking a friendly housekeeper to maintain clean and comfortable guest rooms in line with standards. You will ensure guest satisfaction through courteous service while following established policies and procedures.

Weekend shifts are mandatory with some weekdays. Duties include cleaning rooms to time targets, restocking amenities, reporting maintenance issues, and keeping storage areas organized for efficiency.

Qualifications

• Ability to accept directions and priorities from supervisor and reliably follow-through on tasks.
• Ability to completely clean a guest room in 30 minutes or less.
• Friendly and cheerful demeanor; interacts easily with guests.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide clean, comfortable guest rooms in line with Veridea Group standards.
• Clean guest rooms thoroughly; replace linens, restock amenities, and dispose of trash.
• Maintain organized carts and equipment; report safety or maintenance issues.
• Respond to guest requests with courtesy to ensure satisfaction.
• Complete tasks efficiently within time targets and safety guidelines.

Job Summary:

A housekeeper's main responsibility is to provide clean, and comfortable guest rooms in line with the Veridea Group standards, while ensuring guest satisfaction by providing friendly and courteous service.

Hiring for weekend shifts which will be mandatory but with some weekdays.

Essential Functions:

1. 1. Assists all guests in a sincere and courteous manner, whenever possible going the extra mile and doing whatever it takes to ensure guest satisfaction.
2. 2. Thoroughly and correctly cleans and sets up guest rooms according to Franchise and Veridea Group operational policies and standards to ensure guest satisfaction.
   • a. Removes soiled bed and bath linens and replaces with clean linens.
   • b. Removes trash and debris from guest room.
   • c. Cleans all surfaces in bathroom area.
   • d. Dusts all surfaces.
   • e. Replenishes promotional materials/literature.
   • f. Replenishes room amenities.
   • g. Vacuums room.
   • h. Follows Extra Thoughtful Care procedures in stay-over rooms.
   • i. Completes checkouts in 30 minutes are less.
   • j. Reports unusual circumstances to supervisor.
   • k. Reports maintenance requests promptly.
   • l. Turns in articles left in rooms, and registers them accordingly in Lost & Found Logbook.
3. 3. Maintains clean and orderly cart and vacuum cleaner to maximize job efficiency.
4. 4. Reports all "DO NOT DISTURB" or bolted door rooms to supervisor to ensure guest safety and maximize guest satisfaction.
5. 5. Organizes storage areas to ensure the quality of the contents and to maximize job efficiency.
   • a. checks stock to determine adequacy for day's work.
   • b. re-stocks storage rooms and/or carts.
   • c. pulls damaged and/or rewash linen and returns it to the laundry storage areas.
6. 6. Locks linen closets, linen chutes, and trash chutes to ensure maximum safety and security at all times.
7. 7. Acquires working knowledge of the property and all facilities to respond to guest questions effectively.
8. 8. Understands and applies all hotel safety and security procedures as required to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees and guests.
9. 9. Keeps immediate superior promptly and full informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken.
10. 10. Performs other duties as requested or required.

Job Duties:

9. 9. Good hand dexterity required to dust, polish, make beds, fold towels, etc.
10. 10. Grooming must meet Employee Handbook Standards.
