SUMMARY

Is responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of a selected number of guest rooms assigned within a section.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

Provide the highest quality of services to the customer at all times.

• Clean and return vacant dirty rooms to a vacant ready status and occupied dirty rooms to an occupied ready status.
• Maintaining the ability to clean a number of rooms per day.
• Maintaining the ability to clean a guest room in required timeframe.
• Cleaning includes: light fixtures, ceiling and vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows, floors, carpets, bathroom area. Bathrooms must be free of hair.
• Notify supervisor of bedspreads, which need to be cleaned, and spots on carpets, which need attention.
• Replenish supplies on cart such as drinking glasses and linen by taking these items back to the linen room and restocking your cart.
• Remove and replace garbage when full and put in designated area.
• Maintain a clean housekeeping cart and linen room.
• Assist in maintaining other areas of the hotel in a clean and orderly condition.
• Must maintain consistently high standards, which will be monitored by the Supervisor.
• Report anything in the room, which needs to be fixed to your Supervisor right away (light bulbs replaced, air conditioning, scratched or broken furniture, etc.).
• Must wear proper uniform at all times in accordance with the Standards of Appearance policy.
• Greet guests in the hallway and respond to the guest’s request immediately.
• Have a thorough knowledge of emergency and safety procedures.
• Be able to move luggage, packages, or furniture weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Employee must adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the company including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook.
• Carry out any reasonable request by Management that I am capable of performing.
