Job summary

Anchor Care and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Aide to join our team in Hazlet, NJ. You’ll help create a safe, clean and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and staff, with a focus on infection prevention and comfort.

The role requires at least 2 years in healthcare, preferably nursing home experience. Applicants should be familiar with cleaning equipment, supplies and proper PPE, and be able to work part-time from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Experience: At least 2 years in healthcare; nursing home experience strongly preferred.
• Skills: Knowledge of cleaning equipment, supplies, and proper use of PPE.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and dust floors.
• Clean and sanitize toilets, basins, resident beds, and furniture.
• Vacuum and dust equipment, computers, and phones.
• Maintain cleanliness in resident rooms, nurses' stations, visitor bathrooms, and nourishment/medication refrigerators under nursing supervision.
• Empty wastebaskets regularly and restock rooms with necessary supplies.
• Perform high-dusting, special cleaning projects, and assist in preparations for regulatory audits.
• Report repair needs promptly and follow safety and dress code policies.
• Assist with orienting new staff and take part in performance improvement activities.
• Respond to pages and perform emergency duties as needed to support resident welfare and facility operations.
