As a Housekeeper, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Clean and tidy all areas to the standard cleanliness within time limits
Create daily job lists and record all serviced rooms
Report on any shortages, damages, or security issues
Handle reasonable resident complaints/requests and inform others when required
Check stocking levels of all consumables
Comply with health and safety regulations and act in line with company policies and licensing laws
Ability to work independently and stay motivated
Excellent prioritization and time-management skills
Professionalism with attention to detail
Knowledge of infection control procedures and safe handling of cleaning chemicals
Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks for long periods and lift up to 25-50 lbs
Ability to adhere to health and safety regulations (including use of PPE when required)
Must be able to speak, read, and write in English to effectively communicate and complete required tasks, including training and documentation
Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare or nursing facility setting
Experience with cleaning equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, vacuums, disinfectant sprayers)
Familiarity with OSHA and CDC safety and sanitation guidelines
Experience with handling hazardous cleaning chemicals and understanding of safety protocols
Ability to assist with resident requests or special cleaning needs in a compassionate and respectful manner
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and understanding of maintaining confidentiality in a healthcare setting
Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed
High school diploma or equivalent
