Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms and common areas daily.
• Respect resident privacy and knock before entering rooms.

• Secure housekeeping supplies so residents cannot access them.
• Distribute and order house supplies as needed.
• Dispose of trash and waste following facility policies.
• Follow safety instructions when using chemicals; refer to MSDS labels.
• Communicate with staff for state inspections and surveys.

Park Senior Villas Goodyear, An Assisted Living & Memory Care is HIRING a Housekeeper!!

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleans (dust, dry mop, wet mop, sanitize, scrub) assigned resident rooms, bathrooms and common areas daily according to facility procedures.
• Respects resident’s privacy and preferences about room arrangement, personal items. Knocks before entering resident rooms and bathrooms.
• Cleans walls, ceilings, windows, and mirrors according to department procedures and cleaning schedules.
• Takes appropriate actions to secure housekeeping supplies are out of reach of residents at all times.
• Disposes of trash and waste, and other materials that require special handling, only in accord with facility policies and procedures.
• Post signs indicating a safety hazard any time housekeeping activities pose environmental hazards to staff, residents, visitors or others in the facility.
• Uses personal protective equipment when at risk of exposure to blood or other potentially hazardous body fluids and all other times indicated by facility policies and procedures.
• Complies with all safety instructions and procedures when using chemical substances. Refers to labels and Material Safety Data Sheets for instructions. Keeps all chemicals and cleaning supplies in their original containers. Asks supervisor for assistance if unsure of proper handling techniques.
• Communicates with proper personnel with preparation for state inspections. Attends survey training and interacts with state surveyors as instructed by immediate supervisor.
• Monitors workplace for safety and fire hazards and corrects or reports potential problems. Reports housekeeping and maintenance problems including equipment breakdown, to General Manager promptly.
• Responsible to distribute needed house supplies to each home on a as needed basis
• Responsible to order all needed/required house supplies for the homes
• Clean outside front and back porches
• All other housekeeping duties as assigned

Strong Understanding of medical cleaning procedures and has worked with memory care residents.

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and push pull up to 40lbs

Schedule: Day shift

Housekeeping: 1 year (Preferred)
