Cedar Creek of Fort Wayne, a regional healthcare provider and true friend of older adults, seeks a service-minded, career-oriented individual to join our team as a Housekeeper in our Cedar Creek of Fort Wayne community.

As a Housekeeper, you will have the opportunity to connect with, and positively impact the lives of, our residents daily! In this role, you will work alongside the Environmental Services Director to ensure our community spaces are maintained and kept tidy.

Responsibilities include:

1. Performing thorough cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, laundry, trash removal.
2. Performing cleaning duties to a schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) in assigned areas such as resident apartments, common areas, restrooms, and offices throughout the community.
3. Collecting and laundering soiled linens in accordance with policies & regulations.
4. Folding, sorting, and distributing clean laundry.
5. Reporting supply and equipment needs to Supervisor and restocking supplies as needed.
6. Working in coordination with maintenance to report necessary repairs.
7. Communicating effectively with residents’ families about their care and wellbeing.
8. Working well with others, taking direction, and engaging in conflict resolution as needed.
9. Fulfilling other duties as assigned to meet resident and community needs.

Minimum requirements:

1. High School diploma or equivalent
2. Previous housekeeping experience preferred
3. CPR or BLS certification preferred
4. Proficiency in Internet browsers, Microsoft Office, EHR, and HR systems
