Housekeeper - Sunday - Thursday

Summary: Responsible for demonstrating and promoting SRIM's core value of the Golden Rule, treating others (residents, families, and associates) in the same way we would like to be treated. Under direct supervision, providing a variety of housekeeping and laundry duties while maintaining the community in an orderly, clean, and sanitary condition.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow established cleaning schedules.
• Complete daily dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of all common areas.
• Perform deep cleaning of resident rooms as scheduled.
• Clean administrative offices as scheduled.
• Sanitize bathrooms and clean carpets and floors upon request.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all residents.
• Support a dignified and caring atmosphere for residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Respond promptly and courteously to requests for assistance from residents, families, and visitors.
• Interact with residents showing empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect.
• Communicate effectively in a language understandable to residents.
• Maintain a safe environment, report hazards immediately.
• Practice good body mechanics and safe working habits.
• Assist colleagues as needed and follow emergency policies.
• Be considered essential personnel during emergencies or inclement weather.
• Work as a team, demonstrate a positive attitude, and adhere to attendance policies.
• Participate in training and meetings; wear appropriate attire.
• Refrain from discussing resident issues with families or visitors, refer inquiries to the nursing supervisor.
• Comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist nursing staff as needed and participate in resident activities.
• Serve and assist residents during meals and take on special projects as assigned.

Education/Experience

Work Environment
