Job summary

Ebenezer's Amira Choice of Forest Lake in Forest Lake, MN is seeking a housekeeper for a day shift (Mon–Fri) 10:00am–2:00pm, totaling 40 hours every two weeks. The role involves cleaning resident and common areas, performing full cleaning duties, and maintaining equipment and supplies.

You will follow safety guidelines, complete OSHA training modules, and assist with light maintenance and reporting needs. The work supports residents’ comfort and wellbeing in a valued senior living community

Job Overview

Amira Choice of Forest Lake is a beautiful, well-designed senior living community that offers the highest level of distinction for our residents. Located North of the twin cities metro area in beautiful Forest Lake, MN. This building is managed by Ebenezer. We offer 80 senior units with a mix of Independent/Assisted Living as well as Memory Care and Care Suites. Our community is adjacent to both Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN and is near public transportation making it a convenient location for our employees. This Housekeeper Schedule Includes

• 40 hours per two weeks
• day shift: M-F 10:00am -2:00pm
• no weekends

Responsibilities

• Cleans resident and common areas of the community as assigned.
• Performs thorough cleaning of all assigned areas, including vacuums carpets, sweeps and mops hard floor surfaces, dusts and/or damp wipes surfaces, sanitizes bathrooms, cleans all glass windows/mirrors.
• Prioritizes tasks and completes within allotted time.
• Assists in cleaning emergency spills as needed.
• Assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
• Follows cleaning schedule and instructions regarding specifications of resident’s individualized housekeeping needs.
• Performs job duties safely, using correct body mechanics and personal protective equipment.
• Safely mixes chemicals according to instructions provided by the manufacturer
• Consistently follows safe body mechanics
• Demonstrates precautionary work practices for the safety of others in the work areas, such as electric cords, wet floor signs, etc.
• Completes all OSHA training modules in a timely manner.
• Maintains cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Maintains housekeeping cart and storage area on daily basis.
• Safeguards others’ well-being by keeping chemicals and other hazardous materials locked when not in active use.
• Communicates supplies that need to be re-stocked.
• Communicates need for equipment repairs.
• Adheres to all Lockout/Tagout requirements per policy.
• Assists with light maintenance tasks as needed.
• Participates actively in team meetings, reports on current state in the Community, providing feedback on housekeeping-related items as they arise.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or
• GED
• 1 to 3 years of experience
• Experience utilizing software programs such as Educare or TELS in order to complete necessary job functions
