Job summary

Essex Meadows Inc. in Essex, CT is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness of resident apartments, common areas, and the healthcare center as needed.

The position offers a day shift within a full-time 40-hour schedule and requires attention to detail and reliability. You will perform vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, dusting surfaces, and laundry tasks to keep residents’ living spaces attractive and comfortable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Three to six months’ experience in housekeeping or janitorial position preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs general housekeeping duties in apartments, such as vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, and dusting of all cleared flat surfaces.
• Performs general housekeeping duties of hallways and common areas as directed by supervisor.
• Maintains all equipment and supplies in proper condition.
• Responsible for performing a variety of housekeeping and laundry functions to maintain an attractive, clean, and comfortable environment to meet the needs of residents.

Our Housekeepers are responsible for the cleanliness and neatness of our resident private apartment homes, common areas throughout the community, and our healthcare center, as applicable.
