Job summary

Essex Meadows in Connecticut is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to ensure the cleanliness of resident apartments, common areas, and our healthcare center as applicable.

This role supports a warm, hospitality-driven environment; duties include vacuuming, bathrooms, kitchens, dusting, laundry, and ensuring residents’ comfort while maintaining safety and privacy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three to six months’ housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs general housekeeping duties in apartments, such as vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, and dusting of all cleared flat surfaces.
• Maintains all equipment and supplies in proper condition.
• Responsible for performing a variety of housekeeping and laundry functions to maintain an attractive, clean, and comfortable environment to meet the needs of residents.
• Performs general housekeeping duties of hallways and common areas as directed by supervisor.

Schedule:Full Time 40 hours week. 8-hour shift, Day shift, Weekends, holidays, and events as needed

Pay:$18 per hour

Our Housekeepers are responsible for the cleanliness and neatness of our resident private apartment homes, common areas throughout the community, and our healthcare center, as applicable.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Housekeeper:

• Performs general housekeeping duties in apartments, such as vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, and dusting of all cleared flat surfaces.
