Job summary

The Actors Fund Home in Englewood, NJ, is seeking a Full-Time Housekeeper for the 8:00 am-4:30 pm shift. This hourly position requires coverage for every other weekend and some holidays, under SEIU 1199.

You will clean resident rooms, restock supplies, assist with laundry, and maintain a safe, comfortable environment for residents. A HS diploma and English proficiency are required; prior housekeeping experience is preferred.

Actors Fund Home, an assisted living, skilled nursing, accredited dementia care and sub acute rehabilitation center located in Englewood, NJ, and a recipient of a CMS Five Star Rating, seeks a Full- Time Housekeeper for the 8:00 am-4:30 pm shift.

JOB DUTIES

• Clean resident rooms including bathrooms and floors on a daily basis
• Maintain cleanliness of the facility, including common areas, nursing station areas, lounges, stairways and offices
• Empty trash and restock housekeeping supplies as needed
• Assist with laundry department
• Perform other housekeeping functions as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate required
• Ability to understand and communicate in English required
• Prior housekeeping experience preferred
• Must be able to work with all cleaning equipment as well as laundry and cleaning chemicals
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry supplies up to 25 pounds

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

• Flexibility with schedule and assignments
• Must be adaptable to change and able to deal with crisis and emergencies

ABOUT THIS POSITION

This is a hourly position (40hrs) based at The Actors Fund Home in Englewood, NJ. The shift requirements for this position are 8:00am-4:30pm and availability for every other weekend. You will be expected to cover assigned shifts, including holidays, and should be available to cover vacations/call outs on occasion. This position is covered by the SEIU 1199 Collective Bargaining Agreement.
