Job summary

Actors Fund Home in Englewood, NJ is seeking a Full-Time Housekeeper to join our team. The role covers daily cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, floors, and common areas, with duties including trash disposal and restocking supplies.

The position operates 8:00am-4:30pm with weekend coverage and is part of the SEIU 1199 Collective Bargaining Agreement. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred, and applicants must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate required.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English required.
• Prior housekeeping experience preferred.
• Must be able to work with all cleaning equipment as well as laundry and cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry supplies up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms including bathrooms and floors on a daily basis.
• Maintain cleanliness of the facility, including common areas, nursing station areas, lounges, stairways and offices.
• Empty trash and restock housekeeping supplies as needed.
• Assist with laundry department.
• Perform other housekeeping functions as assigned.
