Job summary

The Actors Fund Home in Englewood, NJ is seeking a Full-Time Housekeeper to join our healthcare team. This 40-hour, hourly position requires excellent cleaning standards and the ability to work 8:00am–4:30pm, including every other weekend, under SEIU 1199 terms.

You will clean resident rooms, restock supplies, assist with laundry, and help maintain common areas while following safety protocols. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred; HS diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate required.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English required.
• Prior housekeeping experience preferred.
• Must be able to work with all cleaning equipment as well as laundry and cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry supplies up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms including bathrooms and floors on a daily basis.
• Maintain cleanliness of the facility, including common areas, nursing station areas, lounges, stairways and offices.
• Empty trash and restock housekeeping supplies as needed.
• Assist with laundry department.

ABOUT THIS POSITION

This is a hourly position (40hrs) based at The Actors Fund Home in Englewood, NJ. The shift requirements for this position are 8:00am-4:30pmand availability for every other weekend. You will be expected to cover assigned shifts, including holidays, and should be available to cover vacations/call outs on occasion. This position is covered by the SEIU 1199 Collective Bargaining Agreement.
