Job summary

BAYMONT BY WYNDHAM OF ELKO, NV is seeking a Housekeeper to join our team and maintain high standards of cleanliness for guest rooms and public areas.

Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, restocking carts, reporting issues, and coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and reliable, team-oriented work ethic.

Qualifications

• Be able to manage time effectively and complete tasks on schedule.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members.
• Be reliable and dependable with a positive attitude.
• Work well as part of a team and adapt to shift changes.
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills under pressure and in diverse scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned guest rooms daily according to hotel standards.
• Restock room carts with supplies and maintain equipment cleanliness.
• Report room status, damages or missing items to the Housekeeping Department.
• Safely handle and secure assigned pass keys during each shift.
• Turn in lost and found items and ensure proper documentation.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks as assigned.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning agents and supplies.
• Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper.

Requirements:

• Be able to manage time effectively, complete required tasks on time


• Must have prior housekeeping experience.


• Must have ability to communicate effectively


• Must be reliable and dependable.


• Need to be a team player - if you like to work on an island by yourself, this won't be a good fit for you!


• Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure


• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent required


• Stable work history required
