Job summary

Dover Center for Health & Rehabilitation, an affiliate of National Health Care Associates, seeks a Housekeeper to maintain a clean, healing environment for residents. This entry-level role offers the chance to learn long-term care and grow within a respected family-run organization.

You will perform daily cleaning, support infection control, and collaborate with staff to ensure safety and comfort for residents and their families in a Great Place to Work Certified environment.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend English.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Knowledge of cleaning protocols and infection control valued but training provided.
  • Experience in long-term care not required; entry-level role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks in resident rooms and common areas.
  • Ensure bathrooms, kitchens and spaces are clean and sanitary.
  • Dispose of trash and restock supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with staff to maintain a safe environment.
  • Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from residents and staff.
  • Operate cleaning equipment as required.

What You\'ll Do

As a Housekeeper, the clean, healing environment that you create will improve the comfort and well-being of our residents, guests and team. This entry-level position also offers a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn more about long-term care and its many career opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing common areas and resident rooms
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
  • Dispose of trash and waste
  • Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed
  • Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a safe and organized environment
  • Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from residents and staff
  • Operate cleaning equipment such as buffing machines, vacuums, etc.

Rate of Pay

Up to USD $17.00/Hr.

What You\'ll Bring

Qualifications of a Housekeeper include:

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • Knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control, fire prevention and safety measures in long-term care are highly valued but not required; training will be provided
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
