Job summary

Twin Oaks Rehab and Nursing is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join the Housekeeping Department. The primary purpose of this position is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department.

Responsibilities include cleaning all facility areas, attending to spills, maintaining sanitary rooms, and ensuring residents’ rooms are neat and odor-free. Strong English communication and supervisory abilities are required.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to supervise professional and non-professional staff.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation in housekeeping areas.
• Able to inspect Resident rooms for sanitation and order.

Responsibilities

• Carry out assigned housekeeping duties and report to the Director of Housekeeping and Laundry.
• Clean and maintain all areas in the facility; mop, buff, shampoo carpets as scheduled.
• Attend to spills immediately; empty trash; clean beds and rails.
• Clean floors, windows, and furniture; strip and refinish floors as scheduled.
• Communicate with housekeeping staff and other department supervisors.

Twin Oaks Rehab and Nursing is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join out dynamic Housekeeping Department. The primary purpose of your position is to perform the day to day activities of the Housekeeping Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• As a Housekeeper you are responsible and accountable to carry out assigned duties and report directly to the Director of Housekeeping and Laundry.

• Works in all areas of the facility

• Sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during working hours

• Is involved with Residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc, under all circumstances and conditions

• Communicates with housekeeping personnel and other department’s supervisors

• Ensure the Resident’s rooms are neat, clean and free from odor

• Wet mop floors daily

• Buff floors as requested

• Shampoo and extract carpets as per schedule

• Attend to spills immediately

• Empty trash liners and clean containers

• Clean beds and rails with disinfectant

• Clean all counter tops, windowsills, over bed and bedside tables and furniture

• Strip, seal and refinish floors as per schedule

• Clean floor edges and corners to prevent buildup

• Clean windows and mirrors

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language

• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, Residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and general public

• Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel

• Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc, the appearance of housekeeping areas and must perform regular inspections of Resident rooms/units for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance of assigned duties
