Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, Residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and general public
• Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel
• Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc, the appearance of housekeeping areas and must perform regular inspections of Resident rooms/units for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance of assigned duties

Responsibilities

• Carry out assigned duties and report directly to the Director of Housekeeping and Laundry
• Work in all areas of the facility
• Sit, stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during working hours
• Involve with Residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc
• Communicate with housekeeping personnel and other department’s supervisors
• Ensure the Resident’s rooms are neat, clean and free from odor
• Wet mop floors daily
• Buff floors as requested
• Shampoo and extract carpets as per schedule
• Attend to spills immediately
• Empty trash liners and clean containers
• Clean beds and rails with disinfectant
• Clean all countertops, windowsills, over bed and bedside tables and furniture
• Strip, seal and refinish floors as per schedule
• Clean floor edges and corners to prevent buildup
• Clean windows and mirrors
