Reports To: Director of Environmental Services regarding essential duties, responsibilities, schedule changes, updates on room moves/discharges, and other pending duties.
Purpose: Housekeeping personnel are directly responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the physical plant and environment, including resident rooms, fixtures, furniture, and equipment, ensuring the facility remains safe, attractive, and operational at all times.

Essential Job Duties:
- General
- Keeping facility clean and sanitized
- Cleaning of resident’s rooms
- Cleaning and sanitizing common areas
- Following chore list as assigned by supervisor
- Keeping equipment clean and in working order
- Stocking housekeeping carts daily after use
- Common Areas
- Vacuum all halls and elevators
- Cleaning/sanitizing and stocking public and staff restrooms
- Dusting pictures/fixtures in halls
- Extracting and spot cleaning carpets where needed
- Requesting supplies as needed from supervisor
- Delivering facility newspapers
- Cleaning pantry in dining rooms
- Checking refrigerators in pantries
- Spot cleaning all walls
- Washing windows and doors
- Sweeping cobwebs outside doors
- Resident Rooms
- Weekly: Spot-clean walls and floors, clean bedside tables/dressers, vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, clean shower/tub, toilet, sink, and mirror, collect trash, spot clean soiled areas on carpet, sanitize beds, dust as needed, strip bedding, and make beds
- Monthly: Wash shower curtains, privacy curtains, and wheelchairs as needed
- Other Duties:
- Wash windows, blinds, and patio doors
- Dust furniture in halls, scrub handrails and baseboards
- Extract all carpets
- Detailed cleaning in any empty rooms
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Strip bedding and make beds
- All scheduled duties may need attention earlier than scheduled times
