Job summary

The Drake is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team and ensure cleanliness and upkeep of our facility for residents.

Responsibilities include cleaning, laundry, waste management, safety and sanitation, and resident engagement, with a compassionate and respectful approach.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and prior housekeeping or janitorial experience; strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or with a team are required.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Maintenance: vacuum, dust, sanitize, mop common areas, rooms, and restrooms.
• Laundry Services: wash, fold, and distribute laundry for residents and staff.
• Waste Management: dispose of trash and recycling properly; keep waste areas clean.
• Inventory Management: restock cleaning supplies and equipment; report shortages or issues.
• Safety & Sanitation: follow safety protocols for a hygienic environment.
• Team Collaboration: work with staff to maintain a well-kept facility.
• Resident Engagement: interact with residents in a friendly, respectful manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and mopping common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Laundry Services: Assist with washing, folding, and distributing laundry for residents and staff as needed.
• Waste Management: Dispose of trash and recycling materials properly, ensuring that waste areas are clean and organized.
• Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining and restocking cleaning supplies and equipment. Notify management of any supply shortages or equipment issues.
• Safety & Sanitation: Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for residents and staff.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure that the facility is well-maintained and residents are comfortable.
• Resident Engagement: Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience (preferred)
