Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation in Columbus, MS seeks a dedicated Hospital Housekeeper to maintain patient and non-patient areas in a safe, clean, and attractive condition. The role supports department quality and performance improvement activities and adheres to hospital policies and procedures.

Training is provided on hire. Responsibilities include cleaning, disinfecting, equipment upkeep, and floor maintenance, with preference for candidates having hospital housekeeping experience

• Experience in housekeeping in a hospital setting preferred.
• Awareness of infection control guidelines is beneficial.
• Ability to follow department policies and procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Cleans and disinfects hospital areas using a seven-step cleaning process.
• Adheres to infection control guidelines and universal precautions.
• Maintains equipment, storage rooms and environmental closets in orderly fashion.
• Performs floor maintenance tasks per department policy.
• Follows Service First principles and hospital policies.
• Completes assigned goals and tasks as directed by supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and disinfects areas by completing 7 step cleaning process.
• Practices infection control guidelines by adhering to universal precautions and practices safety precautions completing work assignments.
• Maintains equipment, storage rooms and environmental closets in orderly fashion.
• Performs all floor maintenance tasks in accordance with departmental policy and procedures.
• Follows Service First principles.
• Fulfills Hospital required competencies.
• Adheres to hospital and departmental policy and procedures.
• Completes assigned goals.

Experience

• Appropriate housekeeping experience.

Minimum Required

• None.

Preferred/Desired

• 1 year of housekeeping experience preferred

Education

• Appropriate Education.

Minimum Required

• Knowledge, skills and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.

Training

• Provided upon hire.
