Job summary

Ebenezer, Realife Columbus in Columbus, Nebraska, is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, odor‑free environment for residents, staff and visitors. You will clean assigned areas of the building and support a senior cooperative team.

The role is part-time, with a day shift Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, no weekends, and about 41 hours every two weeks. Training is provided, and we value reliability and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of previous experience.
• Preferred 1 year of previous experience.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned areas of building.
• Performs thorough cleaning of all assigned areas, including vacuums carpets, sweeps and mops hard floor surfaces, dusts and/or damp wipes surfaces, sanitizes bathrooms, cleans all glass windows/mirrors.
• Prioritizes tasks and completes within allotted time.
• Assists in cleaning emergency spills as needed.
• Assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
• Performs job duties safely, using correct body mechanics and personal protective equipment.
• Safely mixes chemicals according to instructions.
• Safely executes housekeeping tasks, such as the proper way to bend, push, pull and lift.
• Demonstrates precautionary work practices for the safety of others in the work areas, such as electric cords, wet floor signs, etc.
• Maintains cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Maintains housekeeping cart and storage area on daily basis.
• Keeps supplies and tools locked at all times.
• Communicates supplies that need to be re-stocked.
• Communicates need for equipment repairs.

Job Overview

Ebenezer is looking for a Housekeeper to join our senior cooperative team at Realife Columbus in Columbus, Nebraska! This position provides a clean, safe and odor free environment for residents, staff and visitors. Cleans assigned areas of the building.

Schedule

• 41 hours every two weeks
• Part time; Day shift: Monday - Friday 9 AM - 1 PM
• No weekends
