Job summary

Willow Gardens, part of the United Hebrew of New Rochelle campus, is seeking a full-time housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents and staff. duties include cleaning apartments, common areas, bathrooms, and offices on a schedule and following infection control procedures.

The role requires reading and following directions in English, physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, and the commitment to a professional, resident-centered approach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow directions in English.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to work under time constraints and maintain professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident apartments, common areas, bathrooms, and offices according to schedule.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust and polish surfaces.
• Empty trash receptacles and disinfect restrooms.
• Wash and dry residents' clothing per schedule.
• Stock housekeeping carts and closets properly.
• Follow infection control procedures and Universal Precautions.
• Report maintenance issues and hazardous conditions promptly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities.

Requirements

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to:

• Exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and varying temperatures
• Ability to climb, kneel, and perform repetitive motions
