Job Title: Housekeeper

Reports To: Service Manager

Position Type: Full‑Time, Non‑Exempt

Summary of Position: To ensure residents have a very clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive place to live. This position is considered an essential function to the operation of the community, therefore consistent attendance is essential. It directly impacts the employee’s ability to perform their duties effectively and ensures proper workflow and communication within the team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Abides by Fair Housing Laws.
• Thoroughly cleans apartments prior to new residents moving in (including living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchens).
• Strips and waxes hallways.
• Cleans laundry rooms, offices, maintenance shops, clubhouse, and all common areas.
• Cleans up trash in common areas.
• Clean windows, doors, and furnishings.

Position Requirements / Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Familiarity with the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Ability to read the English language.

Physical Activities

• Activities up to and including typing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, climbing stairs, or sitting for periods of time.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

• Hours worked will coincide with the hours of operation in the community; may be required to work on weekends as necessary.
