Summit Hospitality Group in Chapel Hill, NC is seeking a Housekeeper for our hotel division. This role focuses on cleaning guest rooms and public areas while upholding quality standards and ensuring guest comfort.

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced team, follow safety policies, and contribute to a welcoming environment; prior hotel housekeeping experience preferred and reliability essential.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience with name brand hotel housekeeping preferred.
• Can-do attitude and willingness to jump in and do the assigned work cheerfully.
• Service oriented with professional presentation.
• High energy and attention to detail.
• Willingness to respond quickly to guest requests.
• Teamwork and partnership with fellow associates and management.
• Interest in advancing to Executive Housekeeper/Housekeeping Manager.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to guest requests and transport supplies as needed.
• Enter rooms with proper access and replace amenities.
• Strip and replace dirty linens and towels.
• Make beds, clean bathrooms, and remove trash.
• Inspect appliances and straighten furniture in rooms.
• Dust, polish, and vacuum; perform floor care in rooms and corridors.
• Follow safety policies; report hazards; store flammable materials properly.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality of information.
• Greet guests per standards and assist guests with special needs.
• Communicate clearly with team to maintain quality standards.

Summary

As a Housekeeper for the Hotel Division of Summit Hospitality Group, you hold an essential position responsible for cleaning guest rooms and public areas. Our guests expect and deserve a spotless environment when they check-in and stay with us. Adhering to Corporate and Brand standards for quality and cleanliness are paramount to our success. The Housekeeper who works for a Summit Hotel is friendly, helpful, efficient, and devoted to making all guests feel welcome and comfortable.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments. Fill cart with supplies and transport cart to assigned area.
• Enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering. Replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms.
• Strip dirty linens off beds.
• Replace dirty linens and terry with clean items.
• Make beds and fold terry. Clean bathrooms. Remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items. Check that all appliances are present in the room and in working order. Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances.
• Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings. Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties (e.g., in guest rooms and hallway).
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; properly store flammable materials.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Speak with others using clear and professional language. Support team to reach common goals. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
