Job summary

Diablo Valley Post Acute is hiring a dedicated Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services team. The role offers a full-time schedule (4-On/2-Off) and a pay rate of $18.54 per hour. You will maintain clean, safe spaces for residents, staff, and visitors while following infection prevention and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare or hospitality preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and sanitation standards.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to perform physical duties (standing, bending, lifting, walking).

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, dining areas, and common spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors and furnishings.
• Empty trash and replace liners throughout the facility.
• Restock supplies and maintain organized storage areas.
• Follow infection prevention, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Report maintenance issues and safety concerns promptly.
• Assist with linen distribution and laundry duties as needed.
• Provide courteous and respectful service to residents, families, visitors, and team members.

Position Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, dining areas, and common spaces

• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners throughout the facility
• Restock housekeeping supplies and maintain organized storage areas
• Follow all infection prevention, sanitation, and safety procedures
• Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, and safety concerns promptly
• Assist with linen distribution and laundry duties as needed
• Provide courteous and respectful service to residents, families, visitors, and fellow team members
• Complete special cleaning projects and additional housekeeping duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous housekeeping experience in a skilled nursing facility, healthcare, hospital, or hospitality setting is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and infection control practices is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to perform physical duties including standing, bending, lifting, and walking throughout the shift
• Reliable, dependable, and committed to delivering quality work
