Responsibilities

1. Cleans and services assigned hospital areas/facilities.
2. Performs routine cleaning requests within departmental duties.
3. Performs daily clean-up and care of equipment and materials.
4. Maintains hospital standards of cleanliness.
5. Follows established work patterns and cleaning steps.
6. Transports waste, soiled linens, and materials per guidelines.
7. Secures containers/liners to prevent spillage.
8. Ensures waste holding areas are cleaned daily.
9. Replenishes supplies cost-effectively and records inventory accurately.
10. Records data on work forms and communicates task status.
11. Moves furniture in patient areas as needed.
12. Follows directions from supervisors and uses resources to prevent damage.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Good organizational, independent thinking, and judgment skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Additional Information

• License: Act 34-PA Criminal Record Check.
• No supervisory responsibilities but serves as a coach/mentor.
