Job summary

Cedar Mountain House in Brevard, NC is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our caring team and ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of our facility.

You will perform general cleaning, laundry, waste management, and inventory tasks while collaborating with staff to provide a welcoming, safe environment for residents. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, prior housekeeping or janitorial experience, and a compassionate, detail-oriented approach to elder care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties in resident rooms and common areas.

• Follow safety and sanitation protocols to protect residents.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure residents are comfortable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and mopping common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.

• Laundry Services: Assist with washing, folding, and distributing laundry for residents and staff as needed.

• Waste Management: Dispose of trash and recycling materials properly, ensuring that waste areas are clean and organized.

• Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining and restocking cleaning supplies and equipment. Notify management of any supply shortages or equipment issues.

• Safety & Sanitation: Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for residents and staff.

• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure that the facility is well-maintained and residents are comfortable.

• Resident Engagement: Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
