Job summary

Bentley Assisted Living at Branchville is seeking a dependable Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff. You’ll clean apartments, common areas, and assist with laundry, while upholding infection-control and safety standards.

Ideal candidates show attention to detail, reliability, and a genuine interest in working with older adults. High school diploma or GED preferred, with opportunities for growth and teamwork in a supportive community.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, cleaning, hospitality, or environmental services experience is preferred, but not required
• Willingness to learn and follow established cleaning procedures
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasks
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Friendly, respectful, and professional communication skills
• Genuine interest in working with older adults
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform cleaning duties for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Clean resident apartments according to established schedules and standards
• Clean and maintain common areas, offices, hallways, restrooms, and other assigned spaces
• Perform resident laundry services as scheduled
• Make beds and change linens as needed
• Dust, vacuum, mop, sanitize, and remove trash
• Restock housekeeping supplies and notify the supervisor when items are needed
• Follow infection-control, safety, and sanitation procedures
• Properly use and store cleaning products and equipment
• Report maintenance concerns, damaged items, or safety hazards
• Respect residents’ privacy, personal belongings, and living spaces
• Provide friendly and respectful service to residents, families, visitors, and coworkers
• Assist with additional housekeeping and community duties as assigned
