Qualifications

Responsibilities

About The Role

As a Housekeeper in our 40 Housekeeping department, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all occupants and visitors. This hourly, full-time position requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for completing daily cleaning tasks, following established standards and safety protocols, and supporting a positive experience for everyone in our facility. Weekend availability is required, as housekeeping coverage is essential to our operations every day of the week.

What You'll Do

• Perform daily cleaning duties in assigned areas, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors, and restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and tissue
• Make beds, change linens, and replace towels or other linens as needed in designated areas
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas while following proper handling procedures
• Replenish cleaning and restroom supplies in assigned areas to ensure consistent availability
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures, including proper use of cleaning agents and equipment
• Inspect assigned areas to ensure that cleanliness standards are consistently met and address any issues promptly
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damage to equipment and facilities to the appropriate personnel
• Operate housekeeping tools and equipment (such as vacuums, floor machines, and carts) safely and according to guidelines
• Work independently to prioritize and complete tasks within assigned timeframes, while maintaining a high level of quality
• Support weekend cleaning schedules and adjust to varying workloads and priorities as needed
• Collaborate and communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and other departments to coordinate cleaning needs
• Handle lost and found items according to established policies and procedures
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to housekeeping and workplace safety

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial experience preferred, but not always required
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Availability to work weekends and a flexible schedule as needed to meet operational needs
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift or move items (often up to 25–50 pounds) for extended periods
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English and adhere to established procedures
• Basic knowledge of safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, or willingness to learn
• Reliability and punctuality, with a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for occupants’ privacy and personal property
• Good communication skills and a positive, cooperative attitude when interacting with staff and visitors
• Willingness to wear required uniforms or personal protective equipment (PPE) as directed
