Job summary

Generation Hospitality Group is seeking a Houseperson for the Hilton Garden Inn Billings to maintain public areas, assist with room readiness, and support the Rooms team. This hourly, full-time position emphasizes reliability and guest‑centered service in a fast-paced hotel environment.

You will move throughout the property, handle linens and supplies, and collaborate with Room Attendants, Front Desk, and Maintenance to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or hotel operations preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and to lift up to 40 lbs safely.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all public areas including lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and back-of-house corridors.
• Support Room Attendants by delivering linens, amenities, and supplies to guestrooms and closets.
• Collect, sort, and transport used linens, towels, and trash from guest floors and service areas to designated locations.
• Replenish housekeeping closets and storage areas with linens, guest amenities, and cleaning supplies.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down cots, rollaway beds, and other special room requests.
• Ensure corridors and service areas are free of clutter and safety hazards at all times.
• Respond promptly to guest and team member requests for assistance or supplies.
• Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
• Follow safety, security, and key control procedures while working in guest and back-of-house areas.
• Operate housekeeping equipment safely (vacuum, carts, floor machines).
• Assist with deep-cleaning projects, furniture moves, and special cleaning assignments as needed.
• Collaborate with Rooms and Housekeeping teams to prioritize daily tasks.
• Adhere to property standards and company policies at all times.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Rooms leadership.

About The Role

As a Houseperson in our Rooms department, you play a key support role in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests. Working closely with Room Attendants, Front Desk, and Maintenance, you will help maintain public areas, hallways, and back-of-house spaces, as well as assist with room readiness and special guest requests. This is an hourly, full-time position that requires reliability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to service. You will be on your feet, moving throughout the property, and contributing to the smooth daily operation of the hotel’s rooms division.

What You'll Do

• Support Room Attendants by delivering linens, amenities, and supplies to guestrooms and housekeeping closets
• Collect, sort, and transport used linens, towels, and trash from guest floors and service areas to designated locations
• Replenish housekeeping closets and storage areas with linens, guest amenities, and cleaning supplies according to par levels
• Assist with setting up and breaking down cots, rollaway beds, cribs, and other special room requests
• Ensure all corridors, vending areas, and service areas are free of clutter, trash, and safety hazards at all times
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest and team member requests for assistance or supplies
• Report any maintenance issues, safety concerns, or damaged items to the appropriate department
• Follow all safety, security, and key control procedures while working in guest and back-of-house areas
• Operate housekeeping equipment (such as vacuums, carts, and floor machines) in a safe and efficient manner
• Assist with deep-cleaning projects, furniture moves, and special cleaning assignments as needed
• Collaborate with the Rooms and Housekeeping teams to prioritize daily tasks and support smooth operations

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or hotel operations experience preferred but not required
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and guest satisfaction
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed
• Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, kneel, push, pull, and lift up to [X] lbs (e.g., 40 lbs) safely and repeatedly
• Comfort working in guest-facing and back-of-house environments with frequent movement between floors and areas
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
• Willingness to follow all safety, health, and sanitation guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment
• Positive, professional attitude and a service-oriented mindset
• Eligibility to work in the country of employment and ability to meet any required background or reference checks

The Pay Range For This Role Is

16 - 16 USD per hour(Hilton Garden Inn Billings)
