Job summary

Benedictine Health System is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper in New Jersey to uphold cleanliness across resident rooms, public areas, and restrooms in line with infection control guidelines.

You will prepare rooms after discharges, restock essentials, and operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, carts, and carpet cleaners, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for residents.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness of resident rooms, public and restrooms, and bathing areas by following policies and infection control guidelines.
• Completes resident discharges, prepares rooms for next admission, and ensures supplies are stocked (soap, paper towels, toilet paper). Operates housekeeping equipment (vacuum cleaners, carts, carpet cleaners).

Overview

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness within the facility, including resident/patient rooms, public and resident restrooms, and shower and bathing areas by following policies/procedures and infection control guidelines.

Responsibilities

Completes resident discharges and prepares the room for next admission. Ensures all areas are properly stocked with items such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. Operates and cares for all housekeeping equipment including vacuums, housekeeping carts, carpet cleaning machines, etc.
