Job summary

Cantex in Alvin, TX is seeking a dependable Housekeeper to maintain clean, sanitary, and safe environments in a healthcare setting, ensuring resident comfort and safety. You will perform housekeeping, environmental services, cleaning, sanitation, and infection prevention duties throughout the facility.

Responsibilities include cleaning rooms and common areas, following infection control procedures, and maintaining supplies and schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping is preferred.
• Healthcare housekeeping experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and sanitation standards.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, patient rooms, common areas, hallways, offices, restrooms, and other assigned facility areas.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and environmental hygiene standards throughout the facility.
• Follow infection control and infection prevention procedures in accordance with facility policies and department standards.
• Clean, sanitize, and disinfect surfaces, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment using approved cleaning methods and products.
• Dispose of waste, trash, and refuse properly according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Support a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, patients, visitors, and staff.
• Report maintenance concerns, equipment issues, safety hazards, and repair needs to the appropriate department.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment, cleaning supplies, and assigned work areas in an organized manner.
• Follow established housekeeping schedules, sanitation requirements, and environmental services procedures.
• Support facility infection prevention initiatives and regulatory compliance efforts.
• Assist with maintaining readiness for inspections, surveys, and quality assurance reviews.
• Demonstrate professionalism, customer service, and respect when interacting with residents, patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
