Job summary

Cantex seeks a professional Housekeeper to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will perform housekeeping, environmental services, cleaning, sanitation, and infection prevention duties to support resident satisfaction, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include cleaning rooms and common areas, following infection prevention policies, managing supplies, and assisting with readiness for inspections and QA reviews.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping preferred.
• Experience in healthcare housekeeping, environmental services, or senior living settings preferred.
• Knowledge of infection prevention standards and safe cleaning products preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, patient rooms, common areas, hallways, offices, restrooms, and other assigned facility areas.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and environmental hygiene standards.
• Follow infection control and infection prevention procedures.
• Clean, sanitize, and disinfect surfaces, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment.
• Dispose of waste, trash, and refuse properly according to procedures and safety guidelines.
• Support a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and staff.
• Report maintenance concerns and safety hazards to the appropriate department.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment and supplies in an organized manner.
• Follow established housekeeping schedules and procedures.
• Support facility infection prevention initiatives and regulatory compliance.

• Follow established housekeeping schedules, sanitation requirements, and environmental services procedures.
• Support facility infection prevention initiatives and regulatory compliance efforts.
• Assist with maintaining readiness for inspections, surveys, and quality assurance reviews.
• Demonstrate professionalism, customer service, and respect when interacting with residents, patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
