Job summary

Cantex in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors in a long-term care or healthcare setting.

You will perform cleaning, sanitation, infection prevention tasks, follow safety guidelines, support readiness for inspections, and work as part of a team to uphold quality of life and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or healthcare housekeeping preferred.
• Familiarity with sanitation and infection prevention standards.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently or on a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident/patient rooms, common areas, and other assigned facility areas.
• Maintain sanitation and environmental hygiene throughout the facility.
• Follow infection control procedures and use cleaning products safely.
• Dispose of waste per safety guidelines.
• Support readiness for inspections and quality assurance.
• Report maintenance and safety hazards.
• Demonstrate professionalism and customer service.

This position performs housekeeping, environmental services, cleaning, sanitation, and infection prevention duties throughout the facility to support resident satisfaction, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality of life. The Housekeeper helps maintain cleanliness standards within a long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, healthcare, or senior living environment.

This position performs housekeeping, environmental services, cleaning, sanitation, and infection prevention duties throughout the facility to support resident satisfaction, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality of life. The Housekeeper helps maintain cleanliness standards within a long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, healthcare, or senior living environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, patient rooms, common areas, hallways, offices, restrooms, and other assigned facility areas.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and environmental hygiene standards throughout the facility.
• Follow infection control and infection prevention procedures in accordance with facility policies and department standards.
• Clean, sanitize, and disinfect surfaces, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment using approved cleaning methods and products.
• Dispose of waste, trash, and refuse properly according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Support a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, patients, visitors, and staff.
• Report maintenance concerns, equipment issues, safety hazards, and repair needs to the appropriate department.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment, cleaning supplies, and assigned work areas in an organized manner.
• Follow established housekeeping schedules, sanitation requirements, and environmental services procedures.
• Support facility infection prevention initiatives and regulatory compliance efforts.
• Assist with maintaining readiness for inspections, surveys, and quality assurance reviews.
• Demonstrate professionalism, customer service, and respect when interacting with residents, patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping preferred.
• Experience in healthcare housekeeping, environmental services, hospitality, senior living, rehabilitation, or long-term care settings preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation practices, infection prevention standards, and safe use of cleaning products preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently and as part of a team.
