Presbyterian Healthcare Services is hiring an Housekeeper at Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. The role involves cleaning patient rooms, offices, hallways and hospital areas to create a safe, comfortable environment. Evening shifts and full-time hours are available.

You will follow infection control and safety protocols, operate floor cleaning equipment, and participate in ongoing training. A high school diploma or GED is required with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school or GED (can be completed within six months in position).
• Preferred one year of healthcare housekeeping experience.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains departmental policies, safety and infection control standards.
• Dusts furniture, fixtures and floors; cleans bathrooms and offices.
• Operates floor cleaners, vacuums and polishers; wet mopping and shampooing as needed.
• Performs terminal cleaning of patient rooms and prepares rooms for new occupants.
• Participates in educational programs and meetings.

Type of Opportunity: Full time Job Exempt: No Job is based: Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital Work Shift: Evenings (United States of America)Responsibilities:Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.Performs duties such as dusts furniture, woodwork, equipment, and dust mops floors. Polishes and cleans fixtures in utility rooms and bathrooms. Cleans and disinfects all fixtures, floors, mirrors, windows, doors, and walls of bathroomsOperates mechanical floor cleaners, polishers, and vacuums. Wet mops rooms, halls, stairways and public areas. Shampoos rugs and furniture. Cleans vents, fans and other equipment using vacuum machines. Buffs, strips, waxes and polishes floors.Performs high cleaning procedures such as fixtures, tops of windows, door frames, and high areas using a ladder.Gathers and disposes of trash and waste materials. Removes waste and soiled linens from work area and places in specified bags or containers.Performs terminal cleaning procedures of patient rooms and prepares room for new occupant. Follows isolation procedures in isolation rooms.Participates in educational programs and Inservice meetings.Attends meetings as required.Qualifications:High school or G.E.D (Can be completed within six months in position).Preferred one experience in healthcare housekeeping.
