About Our Family
We are a warm, energetic, and family-oriented household of six, with four young children and our friendly family dog. Our home is full of movement, noise, laughter, and love—and while our days can feel wonderfully full, we also deeply value a home that feels calm, organized, and welcoming. We believe the best households run on teamwork, mutual respect, and the shared intention to support one another well.
Both parents are working: one parent is in the office full-time, and the other works from home and is transitioning into a season of building a business and returning to close to full-time hours. Because of that, we’re intentionally building a stronger foundation of household support—so the day-to-day doesn’t feel like constant catch-up, and our home can run with more ease.
What we’re looking for now is an additional key team member: someone who can step in as the “behind-the-scenes engine” of the household—keeping the home tidy, the laundry moving, the kitchen flowing, and the little details handled so our nanny can stay focused on childcare and the whole household feels more steady.
Most importantly, we’re hoping to find someone who wants to build a long-term relationship with our family—someone thoughtful and dependable who will grow with us, contribute ideas, and truly feel like a valued part of our household team.
You are the kind of person who genuinely notices—you spot what’s needed and you handle it. You take pride in keeping a home running smoothly and find real satisfaction in creating order, calm, and function in a space that’s lived-in and loved.
You’re warm, grounded, and intuitive—someone who can walk into a busy household and quickly understand the rhythm. You pick up on what matters to the family, you learn by observing, and you ask thoughtful, proactive questions that help you anticipate what’s coming next. You’re also a self-starter: capable of owning your lane without needing constant direction, while still communicating clearly and working collaboratively with the nanny and parents.
You have high standards and care about the details. You like a tidy home and naturally gravitate toward daily resets—surfaces cleared, dishes handled, high-traffic areas vacuumed, clutter returned to where it belongs. In our house, things unravel quickly (toys, towels, water bottles, baby gear, and the everyday messes that come with young children), so we’re looking for someone who can keep things from piling up and knows how to bring the home back to “baseline” throughout the day. You believe in the idea that everything has a home—and you can help create and maintain systems that actually work for a family with young kids.
You also enjoy supporting a family through thoughtful meal preparation. You don’t need to be a chef, but you’re comfortable preparing simple, healthy family meals, following recipes, and helping ensure mealtimes run smoothly. This includes preparing school lunches, making nutritious snacks, and cooking dinners on a rotating menu of family-friendly meals. You're comfortable managing grocery orders through services like Whole Foods, Instacart, and DoorDash, accepting and putting away deliveries, keeping pantry and refrigerator staples organized, and maintaining a clean, well-functioning kitchen. You understand that a stocked fridge, prepared lunches, and a ready-to-go dinner can make a tremendous difference in a busy family's day.
You’re comfortable around babies and young children, and you’re happy to support childcare in practical, helpful ways—whether that means keeping an eye on a child while a parent takes a call, helping with transitions, drop-offs and pick-ups, or providing occasional coverage when the nanny is juggling multiple kids. You understand that the goal is to support the entire system so childcare stays calm and consistent, and the household doesn’t fall behind.
Above all, you enjoy being helpful. You take ownership, bring a steady presence, and feel proud when a busy household feels calmer because you’re in it. If you’re looking for a role where you’ll be trusted, appreciated, and treated as a true partner in helping a home run well—and you’re excited to grow with a family long-term we’d truly love to meet you.
