Job summary

Nippon Express USA is seeking a physically capable mover to support loading, unloading and transporting customers' belongings, ensuring safe handling and efficient relocation.

You will work as part of a team, follow safety procedures, and use packing materials and equipment; forklift experience is a plus, overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in a similar moving or logistics role.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with a team.
• Physical stamina to stand, bend, twist and lift repeatedly.
• Forklift experience is a plus and overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Handle, carry, load and unload the customer’s belongings safely and efficiently.
• Pack and store items in a safe, neat manner using appropriate materials.
• Arrange packing materials (cartons, cushions, tools) and equipment (hand truck, dolly).
• Judge whether standard or special warehouse packing is required.
• Arrange Masonite plates for office moves.
• Ensure items are moved without damage during the move.
• Assist the driver with safe parking of the moving truck.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure a successful move.

Salary Pay Range

Min $16.07 Hourly

Max $24.13 Hourly

This salary range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At NEU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

Responsibilities

• Handle, carry, load and unload the customer’s belongings efficiently and safely complying with procedures.
• Pack and store the customer’s belongings in a safe and neat manner.
• Arrange the necessary packing materials such as cartons, cushions, tools and instruments such as hand truck, panel dolly, and machine cart.
• Judge whether regular packing in proper or special warehouse packing is required.
• Arrange the Masonite plates in case of office moving.
• Ensure items are moved with no damage during the move.
• Assist the driver in his safe parking of a moving truck.
• Other duties as assigned for a successful and safe move.

Qualifications

• One-year experience in a similar role.
• Ability to work closely with a team in a respectful and professional manner.
• Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
• Ability to frequently stand, bend, twist, reach, lift, push, pull, carry heavy objects repeatedly.
• Forklift experience a plus.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
