House Supervisor (PRN)
FTE: .1 (PRN)
Shift: Varies
Weekend Obligation: PRN staff is required to work 32 hours in a six-week schedule, with at least 16 hours on a weekend or off shift

Position Summary:
This position has shift-specific responsibility for providing quality, coordinated services within the organization. Attends to the immediate needs of programs and departments, focusing on meeting and exceeding the needs of internal and external customers. Collaborates with the leadership team to provide input, feedback, and support for programming, staff, and structure.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees the delivery of care on programs
- Observes the care provided on each program within the assigned shift
- Provides immediate feedback to staff related to observations
- Engages with staff, providing ongoing feedback on performance
- Ensures completion of patient schedule and programming
- Assists in planning and implementing care for complex patients
- Provides feedback to program management about programming, structure, function, or staff performance
- Deploys resources to meet patient care needs
- Recognizes changes in volume or acuity
- Reviews staffing schedules for the next 24 hours and adjusts based on census and patient needs
- Initiates procurement of additional staff if necessary
- Plans, delegates, and organizes work assignments with staff
- Delivers direct care as needed
- Addresses clinical or physical capacity situations
- Ensures equipment and supplies meet patient needs
- Responds to urgent or emergent situations, assessing urgency and participating in crisis resolution
- Provides leadership during difficult situations
- Completes and submits reports as designated
- Participates in staff development, education, and performance evaluations
- Acts as a resource for policies, procedures, standards, and regulations
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives and monitors organizational indicators
- Performs as a Qualified Medical Person in emergency situations, collaborating with physicians to determine and support stabilization and transfer of patients
- Facilitates effective communication within and outside the department
- Builds and maintains external relationships with vendors and referral sources
Position Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse in Ohio, graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)
- Two years psychiatric nursing experience
- CPR certification required
- Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing certification (preferred)
- Knowledge of age-specific and developmentally appropriate care
- Effective leadership and team-building skills
- Ability to embody the mission, vision, and values of Lindner Center of HOPE
Physical Requirements:
Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly; stand or walk about 90% of shift; see, talk, and hear adequately to perform duties.
