Responsibilities

The House Supervisor is a registered nurse serving as a liaison across hospital departments during their scheduled hours. This role focuses on patient throughput and safety, escalating concerns to leadership as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate staffing and patient placement to facilitate organizational throughput.
  • Assess advisory status needs and implement measures to improve or remove advisories.
  • Organize and schedule emergent and weekend surgical cases, notifying staff accordingly.
  • Serve as incident commander during internal/external events, establishing command center and notifying leadership.
  • Manage internal staff conflicts when managers are not onsite.
  • Ensure EMTALA guidelines are followed during patient transfers.
  • Monitor safety concerns within the organization.
  • Escalate liability concerns to the Administrator on call.
  • Model professional behavior and conflict management for staff.
Qualifications
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or equivalent
  • Active RN license in the state of residence
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification prior to start
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire
  • 2+ years of charge nurse or leadership experience in the last 5 years
  • 3-5 years of recent nursing experience
  • Strong clinical knowledge and multitasking ability
Pay Range

$33.52 - $48.60 per hour
