Job summary

Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital in Tacoma, WA seeks a per diem House Supervisor for the day shift. This role exercises delegated administrative responsibility and leads hospital personnel in patient care delivery in the absence of leadership.

The successful candidate will have an RN license in WA or a compact license, BLS certification, and at least two years of psychiatric RN experience, with at least one year in supervisory capacity.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State or a compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Minimum two years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in a psychiatric facility.
• Minimum one year in supervisory, management, or healthcare leadership capacity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and resource hospital personnel and functions within the facility.
• Coordinate with Centralized Staffing Team to address staffing issues as needed.
• Plan and optimize patient flow and placement with Bed Placement team and facility leadership.
• Respond to disasters, codes, emergencies, and other issues outside normal practices.

Wellfound is hiring a per diem House Supervisor for our day shift.

Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is a 120-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Tacoma, Washington. We are Department of Health and Joint Commission accredited. We are an acute care psychiatric hospital providing care to both voluntary and involuntary patients.

Position information

This job is responsible for exercising delegated administrative responsibility and authority for the supervision of hospital personnel and functions within assigned facility, including patient care delivery, in the absence of Administrator or Department Director. Serves as the leader and resource person in facilitating efficient operational activities throughout the facility. Effectively serves as an administrative representative knowledgeable about hospital/organizational policy and procedures.

• Serves as a leader and key resource in facilitating efficient and safe operational activities throughout facility.


• Identifies, addresses and resolves, in coordination with Centralized Staffing Team, staffing issues when necessary.


• Plans and optimizes patient flow and placement, in coordination with Mission Control Bed Placement team and facility leadership (e.g. Directors, Managers and/or Charge Nurses).


• Responds to disasters, codes, emergencies, and other issues outside normal practices and flow.

• Hourly: $53.39 - $84.43 depending on years of experience

• Paid Time Off - You will accrue Paid Sick and Safe Leave at 1 hour per 40 hours worked. Paid Sick leave cannot be used until 90 days after your hire date.

What We Require

Education

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, Bachelors preferred.

Certification/License

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse licensed with Washington State or a current Compact License


• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Work Experience

• Minimum two year’s experience as Registered Nurse a psychiatric facility


• Minimum one year in supervisory, management or other healthcare leadership capacity that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities.
