American Crystal Sugar Company is seeking an entry-level House Mechanic (Millwright) to perform a wide range of maintenance interventions across the mill. The role offers progression from $35.03 to $39.56 per hour, day shift, with benefits starting day one.
You will inspect equipment, perform part replacements, align, balance, install, and refurbish machinery while collaborating with Production to optimize performance and ensure safe, effective operations across the plant.

The House Mechanic will perform a wide variety of duties and tasks associated with the mechanical (millwright) discipline. These duties and tasks include a multitude of maintenance interventions ranging from basic parts replacements to equipment refurbishment to optimizing equipment performance to advanced troubleshooting.
The principle accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
Individuals will be required to understand the operating principles of this equipment and its role in the process/factory. Mechanics are expected to understand equipment function and application to the extent that equipment performance can be optimized. Individuals will work closely with Production gaining a detailed understanding of operating parameters to ensure that Maintenance interventions are both appropriate and effective.
Perform a variety of joining and fabrication activities. To that extent, individuals will weld, cut, braze, and solder a variety of materials. This includes welding carbon steel using the SMAW and GMAW processes and welding stainless steel metals using the SMAW process.
