About Our Family

We’re a busy, warm, and high-energy family whose home is often full of life — kids, friends, family, sports, gatherings, and our four beloved animals (3 cats and a dog). We love to host and tend to go all in, from Halloween and New Year’s celebrations to playoff watch parties. Our home has a lot of dynamics and personality, and we’re looking for someone who enjoys being part of it all.

With two demanding work schedules, two active kids (7 and 12) with busy after-school and competitive sports schedules, and a high-energy Australian Shepherd who needs daily walks, attention, and care, there are a lot of moving parts to coordinate. We need a grounding, steady presence and a trusted pillar within our home. Someone who takes ownership, brings calm and positive energy, and feels like an extra partner in helping our family stay organized and supported. We want someone we can trust to see the bigger picture while also handling the everyday details that keep our household moving forward.

At the heart of it all are relationships — our people matter deeply to us, and many of those who have worked with our family have remained in our lives long after their roles ended. That’s the kind of relationship we hope to build here. While this position includes household management, family support, errands, pet care, and plenty of logistics, we’re ultimately looking for someone who wants to grow with us and genuinely enjoy becoming part of our everyday life.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You are someone who walks into a busy household and instinctively sees what needs to happen — and then takes care of it without needing to be asked twice. You naturally think four steps ahead, maintain a bird’s-eye view of the home, and notice the details others might miss — yes, even whose clothes are whose. You take genuine pride in creating order and making a busy household feel lighter, calmer, and more manageable.

You are proactive, self-managed, flexible, and adaptable. Plans will change, schedules will shift, and unexpected things will come up, and you’re someone who can roll with the punches without losing your footing. You’re comfortable jumping in wherever you’re needed, solving problems as they arise, and figuring out the next step rather than waiting for direction. You’re thoughtful about the way you work and naturally look for efficiencies that will make our existing systems better. You don’t feel the need to reinvent the wheel — but if you see a smarter way to do something, you’re confident enough to speak up.

Just as important, you’re relationship-oriented, warm, and genuinely enjoy being part of a family’s life. You bring positive, upbeat energy and a sense of humor to the household. You love animals and are comfortable being actively involved in their care. You connect naturally with children of different ages and understand that being supportive sometimes means being nurturing and sometimes means being respectfully firm.

If you’re the kind of person who can walk into a full, active household, take a deep breath, figure out what needs to happen, jump in with a smile, and make everyone feel like they have a little more room to breathe — you’re exactly who we’re looking for.
